Nishamrutadi Kwath Yavakut

Nishamrutadi Kwath Yavakut is a coarse power, polyherbal proprietary Ayurvedic formulation specially intended for the treatment of Skin diseases like Psoriasis, fungal infections, Lichen planus, eczema, Skin allergies, Acne vulgaris (pimples), alopecia areata, urticaria, pemphigus types etc. It contains Nisha, Amruta, Vacha, Triphala, Katuki, Manjishtha, Vasa, Devdaru, Nimba & Patola. It is extremely bitter in taste but having very promising results in tenacious skin diseases. The packet is provided with a spoon which measures 3 grams of coarse powder of this kwath. 2 Spoons should be soaked in 4 cups of water overnight, boil it in the next morning until it remains 1 cup. Strain it with a two-folded white cotton cloth and take it when it becomes lukewarm. It should be taken on empty stomach preferably twice a day i.e. 7am & 5pm for better outcome. Don’t eat or drink anything after consuming 1 cup of this prepared decoction. However you may gargle with simple water immediately after taking this decoction to decrease the bitterness in mouth and you can eat fennel seeds (Saunf) or Dhanadal to alter the taste of mouth.

It has been observed that patient looses minimum 2 kgs of body weight every month while taking Nishamrutadi kwath and that too, without any complications. So it can also be used to manage obesity in better way. It can be used in pregnancy with caution, in low doses. It is not abortifacient but its lekhana property is not beneficial for the growth of a foetus. So it should be taken only under the supervision of an Ayurvedic expert.
