Ashtashatarishta

Description

Ashtashatarishta is an Arishta kalpana of Ayurved mentioned in Shri. Charak Samhita. It is described in Shwayathu Chikitsa Adhyaya of Shri Charak Samhita. It is prepared from the fresh fruits of Gambhari, Dhatri & Draksha. The other ingredients are Haritaki, Bibhitaki, Pippali and Puran Guda. It is useful in all types of Shotha i.e. oedema and Vibandha (constipation) having Kapha-Vataja dominancy. It is a good promotor of Agni, hence can be given in all conditions wherein promotion of Agni is key factor in the treatment plan.

Dose: 10 to 20 ml with equal quantity of warm water or as directed by physician
