Description

Narikela Lavana is an Ayurvedic classical formulation specially intended for the treatment of Amlapitta & Parinam Shoola Narikela Lavana is one of the Lavana Kalpana mentioned in Ayurvedic texts. It is also called as Kshara Kalpana as it possesses the properties of Kshara also. Narikela Lavana has only two ingredients i.e. Narikela (Coconut) & Saindhava Lavana (Rock Salt). Since coconut forms half part of the formulation, it is Mrudu Kshara & not Tikshna one like other Ksharas. So it can be continued for a longer time & doesn’t exert any significant adverse effects in long run as other Ksharas do.

Narikela Lavana is an activated charcoal compound and a good alkalizer. Hence classically it is used to treat Amalpitta (hyperacidity) & Parinam Shoola (Peptic Ulcers). It is also used to treat gall bladder stones. Sannipatika shoola can also be managed with the administration of Narikela Lavana. Sannipatika shoola can be correlated with acute abdomen of any etiology.

Dose: 2 gm or as directed by physician.
